The other day when the local small shop didnt have Golden Syrup I was surprised to see among the 101 honeys they sold they had Buderim Ginger Honey.  I have never seen this before.  Do any of you use it for marinades or have suggestions for its use?  Amongst muddies, figs, garlic, cream etc I love ginger in any shape or form.   Cheesy

Hi Carolyn,

The Buderim Ginger Factory (now at Yandina) is only 6Km from me and I make it my business to often go there and sample the goodies on offer. I am a big fan of the chocolate ginger.(I love ginger too)

The dealership I work for service many ginger farmers in this area.

The tour of the factory is excellent and the view from a special viewing window of all the vats boiling away with ginger pieces in sugar syrup is amazing.  The best part of the tour is the end with the tastings in a private room for visitors.  The Cafe and shop are also excellent too.  Great tourist attraction and very educational.

Well I went to the Fair today and while looking for Golden Syrup I noticed another brand of honey/ginger and a honey/lemon.  I am not the best of shoppers as I usually "purpose shop" and get out as quick as I can.

I had been to the Buderim place a few times and always found it very disappointing that the prices were not any better than my local Coles.

Most stuff there is yummy, I am far too addictive to it to have it in the house, especially the ginger marmalade I love on ice cream   Cheesy
