Crazy Dog,

I've been a fan of oven bags for some time - corn meat and treacle (golden syrup if less adventurous) is a favourite.

hotshins.  Digressing from the topic but it's interesting that you use treacle on corned horse, I've always rubbed brown sugar all over the cut (of meat), which tenderises it, never had a tough piece yet.
Will do it at the next COG.

I need to work on my technique, I tried oven bags on a couple of chooks in the 15" billmans and totally melted the bags, well done CD I,ll keep trying
