Due to unprecedented demand the commitee (of two) have decided to have a mini COG at Lostock Dam NSW, the weekend of 22/23 May, sort of a getaway before the cool weather kicks in.

Everyone is invited, already we have three starters so have a look at your social calendar and and hopefully we'll see you there.

SBB,
Water is regularily flowing over the wall there (although not constant) it is fed by Barrington tops.

I was up there for a canoe trip on the weekend, about 10K's down stream from the dam.
Paddled, bounced & shot the rapids over about 5 - 8K's of river with my 4yr old & a few mates, had a ball, even tore the A$%e out of my canoe, keen to repair it & go again....had a blast, got a few good fish too!!

PD,
Will endevour to keep those dates open, See you then!!

Mick.

After a talk with Muzz this morning we've decided to postpone the COG at Lostock to a later date. If you live in NSW you don't have to wonder why, it hasn't stopped raining here for the past week and it's no fun trying to camp and cook in the wet, remember Broke 1 and Thora ? Forecast says continuing rain in that area so we've decided to call the whole thing off until a later date, will keep you posted.

PD,
If it's any consellation, I'm only 40K's Sth of Lostock with similar weather & We've had bugger all rain here, just the odd, light, shower, yesterday. (Tue)

Although, Spring
IS
a much better time to visit Lostock, That's when the Bass Come up the River & GO OFF!!!

[quote author=64696E6B756D3535000 link=1270881129/8#8 date=1274263343]Buggar!   I feel the same Pete but we had to make a decision and the forecast wasn't too flash.

SBB, don't burn that wood, nothing definite planned but a trip north in the next few months is not out of the question. R
