After Speaking to Muzz & a few others it seems that a few of us would like to make Lostock an annual pilgrimage in Spring.

Attributes:-
Full amenities including small shop.
Reasonable fees ($12 - $15/night/vehicle)
Bountiful fishing, both in the Dam & in the River beside the Caravan Park.
Boat friendly (Canoe or power boat, 8 knot speed limit keeps the hoons away)
Barrington tops is a 30 Min drive.
Generally bautiful spot, plenty of Platypus in the river for those who get up early enough.

The October long weekend is definately out as the camping ground is normally pretty crowded.
Too much earlier & the Bass won't have had time to migrate that far up the river.
Too much later & it starts to get a bit hot.

My sugestion is the same as wevé just done & that is a weekend either just before or just after the Oct long weekend.
The weekend prior to the long weekend is the start of NSW school holidays which suites those of us with kids & the park is normally not too busy as it is only the first few days of school Hols, This is my pick.

What do others think??
