Hi All Cobb Cookers,

I have had an unfortunate Hard Drive fail on my laptop and thus I have lost all my treasured Cobb recipes, other than the original ones that came with it and the new hard cover book.

I no longer cook in a camp oven(have 2 large ones and a large Bedourie oven as well) but have been mainly trying to use the Cobb, due to weight and size restrictions with my C/T. Also I have grown to like the method of  cooking my roast etc... and the veges, all at the same time in the same cooker. Less clean up.....

I would appreciate any and all recipes, other than roasts as I seem to have mastered them, but would like some cake or dessert ones.

The wife and I are starting to take the grandkids(4 of them, 2 of each) with us and would like to amuse/feed them while teaching them about camping etiquette etc.....

Hi All,

Obviously there are no other Cobb Cooker users on this forum as I haven't had a reply to my 'plea' for recipes!!!!!

I have recently had no one but two hard drive failures in my 6 month old laptop,The make of which I shall not post here.

I had over 100 recipes for the Cobb cooker and have now lost it all. (have now bought a 620Gb external HDD, that automatically backs up data).

I guess I'll just have to keep looking elsewhere..........

G'day Ozkahuna

I'm sure that most recipes found on this forum can be used in a Cobb
May have to adjust the quantities to suit the capacity of a Cobb.

I've seen my mate MikeO do some good stuff with his Cobb.. He isn't on the forum very often.

Give it a go mate...Aart

Maybe you  could consider uploading pictures and recipes you find successful with your Cobb on this forum.  I have made several things with mine but they were just everyday things as in the Cobb leaflet i.e. roast, damper, bread pudding.  I did bread another time and found I needed to use 3/4 of the ingredients as the full ingredients rose and popped out the top holes  Cheesy

Many swear by the Cobb but I didnt find it user friendly, my vegetables were either raw or dropped off the top, the roasts seemed cold.  The MOTH didnt like the food I cooked in it so its under the staircase.  All in all its just a heat source and most recipes could be adpated to use in it.  Personally I much prefer using my Volcano with a camp oven.

Look forward to photos of your efforts.
