Plse tell us about the stove Steve.
Have been toying with this idea for a couple of years, an old slow combustion wood stove in the BBQ area amongst the Webers.

Long slow stews on the top with bread baking in the oven at the same time .... bloody heaven!   Grin

Rust would be an issue when it's outside in the weather.
Can you buy 'stove black' in 10 litre tins?

I loved cooking with the old Metters wood stove when I lived at railway sidings on the Nullarbor.   Small lengths of old jarrah sleepers [extremely well seasoned hardwood], about 3" around and 12" long were best for cooking.  Once I got a little bed of coals going in the firebox I'd only have to add a couple of lengths every so often to keep things going.  Of course I had the added advantage of a lovely warm kitchen no matter how damned cold it was outside. Winter temperatures on the Nullarbor can be horrendous!

The judge's decision is final... unless the 3rd umpire is called for... or a facebook campaign goes viral !!!

Tandoori on the wood stove was a favourite of mine - back when the digestive system could still handle spicy  Smiley
