IT IS a task that would even test the best MasterChef contestant.
A camp oven cook off.
Riverside, with nothing but your ingredients, a table, pots and a camp fire.
Ten teams took part in the Moura Apex Fishstocking Group's Camp Oven Cook Off on July 13.
"It was wonderful," Fishstocking member Zelma Lewis said.
"We had 10 teams which could be of two to four people so there were about 32 cooking."
The event attracted people from all over the region with teams from Moura, Biloela, Murgon/ Nanango, Theodore and Monto taking part.
"We had a great response," Zelma said. "And it will all be happening again next year.
"So hopefully it will be really good and give the town a bit of a boost."
Teams were able to cook in one of four categories: soup, damper or bread; roast meats; stews or curries; and desserts.
Bank Shooters took out the best soup, damper and bread with their Asian chicken and corn soup closely followed by the Tassie Tigers' pea and ham soup.
The Bank Shooters also took out best roast meat with a rack of lamb with Camp Chefs coming in second with their roast beef.
Best stew/curry was the macadamia chicken curry made by Moura Apex and the Expanda's Sweet Beef Curry in second.
The Expandas then came back to take out best dessert with their apple rollover.
