Maggie and I are looking at taking off again towards the end of the month. At this stage we have no commitments here at home until a wedding on 1 November so this trip could be around 12 weeks.

We will go south. Have a meetup with some family in the snow near Jindabyne the last week in August and the COG in early September at Lake Ratzcastle in western Victoria.

Will be looking at everything in between.

Planning is under way.

Every Grey Nomad in Australia is in Mareeba this weekend for Christmas in July judging by all the caravan traffic on the road lately.  I don't recall seeing local van parks (and non-van parks) so chockers.

Cheers

We are off today for about a month or so exploring outback Qld. Will probably be a tad cooler than Cairns.
Safe travels to all who are travelling.

Seamus, Christmas in July is for motorhomes only, not caravans. If we did not have other commitments, we would be there as well.

Bit of success the last few days.  Today they cut the block and prepared for the slab. Concrete goes down on Wednesday.  Construction starts next week so looks like we can get away end of the week.  Now getting excited again.

Photo of Maggie inspecting progress today.
