Just sharing the love, shackles  Kiss

For $99 + $22 for a hose, you can't go wrong with one of these units.

The spit is just another option for cooking on this. It also can take a 10" camp oven with my modification.

That is a good find Rolly.

You may have helped skinnify a few blokes here if they skin their legs  Cheesy

Not sure whether they will fit in a babyq?

I haven't tried yet, but could see this working in a 15" or larger camp oven.

I would have bought one but by the time you add freight then convert it all to Aussie Dollars I thought $39.49 a bit much.

Cooked the tenderest roast leg lamb today ever.

3 & 1/2 hrs on low setting, the last hour with gas bottle throttled right down and raised the lid a little to get the temp down to around 180.

Cooked in an oven bag which held all of the juices and flavour in. The jumbuck is high enough that the oven bag doesn't touch the sides and burn.

I have never carved a leg of lamb like this before. I could have used a butter knife.

Not very good photos, but should give an idea.

And the last photo is of the ribeye steak cooked in the jumbuck last week. (Posted elsewhere)

The best bit of meat that both of us have ever eaten.

Taking my jumbuck on a caravan holiday this week, so hope to enjoy some more tasty feeds.

That lamb looks really, really yummy.  Doesn't get any better.

You are right about the better cuts of beef.  I have for quite some time now been addicted to the sirloin steaks from Aldi.  They come cryovaced with two steaks in each pack and are around $27 a kilo.  Even sliced for a stir fry or Thai curry they are great.

The beauty is for us travelling is that the use by date can be anything up to a month away and I am sure that the longer you keep them the tenderer they get.

I wanted the lamb tender, as we were having lamb & gravy rolls for an easy meal for 7 adults.

No leftovers unfortunately  Cry

Couldn't see me ever using expensive cuts for stir fries, Derek  Shocked

I like buying aged meat from the butcher, so use by dates are a benefit for me  Smiley
