Seamus, all "Gifted" to help this Tough enjoy a little merriment in these tough times  Cheesy Cheesy

It's good to have a generous miner son $$$$$$$$

Now getting back to me Jumbuck, I'm in lurve  Kiss Kiss

Cooked some Chicken breast and a couple of steaks for dinner tonight  Smiley

Baked a fruit&nut gourmet cake afterwards and could not be happier  Smiley Smiley

The seasoned chicken is my signature award winning family dish and it exceeded my expectations.

A couple of screwdrivers under the lid allowed me to bake my gourmet cake @ 180 degrees and once again, a perfect dish.

Geez, I'm good. Just ask me  Grin Grin Grin

I will put up some photos tomorrow to back up my bragging  Cheesy Cheesy

There's an old saying, "never count your chickens before they are hatched"  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

My fruit cake looked perfect last night but in the light of the morning, another case of  "burnt bum syndrome"  Grin Grin

Lucky that I am an expert in cutting off burnt crusts  Smiley

I soaked the sliced chicken breast in olive oil and rolled in a seasoned flour (whole meal plus vegeta stock powder)

Tried the same with one steak and it turned out OK.

The other steak was cooked with just a little seasoning.

The steaks were not too bad, but the chicken breast was very tender and moist Smiley

Cooking a lamb roast tonight. Only 25 degrees and overcast in Port Lincoln today  Smiley

The gas canister emptied after 2 1/2 hrs on the low setting since I bought it.

I will need to buy a gas hose for when I cook at home.

$8.50 at Bunnings. Not bad for the easy BBQ outings, but not very economical for roasting/baking.

But....... I'm still in Lurve with it  Kiss

You could always take the gas burner out and put some coals or heat beads in it.  Grin Grin

Used an oven bag for the leg. About 2hrs @ 200 degrees for the leg. A bit less for the veggies.

This thing will pay for itself on this holiday.

Our unit has a stovetop but no oven, so no going out for dinner when you can enjoy better food at home  Smiley

With the gas usage, I left it connected so it could have leaked a little  Undecided
