There is further north as well. Smiley

We nearly got there this winter John but alas the Snowy Mountains have drawn us again.

I wanted to take Maggie to Cooktown and show her where during the late 60’s/early 70’s I spent some of my misspent youth.   Cheesy

We are on the farm at Old Junee visiting friends but I think Maggie is trying to work out how she can smuggle this orphaned lamb into the motorhome.

the lamb looks a little young to be on the Coopers but I guess you can never start too early.

It's a wonder Maggie hasn't crocheted a nice warm woolen coat for the lamb ?
Or has she?

Hi Derek
Just got back from a week away in the caravan.
I see you are talking about Cooktown.
The people in the villa next to me  here in the village moved here from Cooktown just before Christmas just gone. Pat tells me he had a business or two up there

The lamb would make a good lawn mover. Have a great holiday

Nah, underneath it all she knows we will be leaving here in a few days and may never see it again.

My mate Mark breeds Dorper sheep here on the little farm and this little girl is destined to become a breeder.

Had a few comments on that photo from family.  A beer bottle is just the right size for the little things  Grin

Moved on from the farm today.  Now at Jones Bridge free camp outside Tumut.  This is a bit of a favourite of ours and a good overnighter before heading up into the mountains.

In the first photo you can see we are sitting on what was the road.  The bridge is long gone so we are right on the creek bank which is where Maggie is n the second photo.

Going to stay two nights.  Maggie’s birthday tomorrow so cooking up a special dinner for her.

Also have TV reception so can watch all the pollies fall tomorrow night  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
