My 21ft Goldstar Liberty van is heavy at 2950 kg atm. Always trying to remove any weight and can not carry water.

Do not want to sell as I have now completed the add on to suit ourselves and it is now how we want it. Did some enquires and found a engineer who would look at the van in regards to increasing the ATM.

Emptied the van and took it to be weighed as needed the Tare and BW. Interesting in the fact the Tare was 50kg under the plated weight. Most likely the conversion to lithium.

Took at to Geoff Platt who has been in caravan construction his whole working life. He was very pleased with the van and reported that everything was solid and strong, one of the best and easiest vans he has inspected.

Said no problems in increasing the GTM and ATM by 400kg, all paperwork completed, new plate on van and Geoff will handle the rego office and post the new registration papers out to me.

Do not expect to even go any where near the new weights but nice to know that I will not be over. Just have to watch the ball weight as that now is the limiting factor.

Very happy with Geoff’s professional manner and straight talk. Can highly recommend him. He still builds trailers to peoples needs so if you are looking for some one to do you a special build give Geoff a call.

Thank you have spent the last 3 days weighing and sorting stuff out. Near finished repacking the inside then have to do the boot.

Have you found much that you took out that won’t be going back in.  I know when I cleaned out the Motorhome there was a lot of stuff that I thought, why the heck is this in here.   Smiley
