Over the past couple of weeks Toni and I have been on the road to Tamworth for a wedding.

We spent a couple of nights camping at the Narrabri Fish Farm, so as we had a big fire pit and plenty of firewood, a lazy beef stew was in order.

It has been a while since the camp oven has seen an actual fire, as opposed to heatbeads or charcoal!

It turned out pretty good. Toni insisted on the use of crushed tinned tomatoes and a packet of powdered "French onion soup".
