It is that time of the year again.  Lovely pea and ham soup coming up.

Shall cook up some crusty bread sticks to go with it.   Smiley

Have a bone in shoulder of lamb in the big oval casserole dish in the oven at present.  Three quarters of a bottle of wine, heaps of butter beans, tomatoes, onions and aromatics at present.

It is my modification of Jennifer’s Recipe from the two fat ladies.  Have cooked it a couple of times in a camp oven.

Going to sit for three hours in the oven.  Will last us a few meals.  Shall drop some crusty bread sticks in their when it finishes.

Turned the hock and peas into a yummy soup.  Served with some nice herb and olive bread sticks.

No special recipe, just used the one on the pea packet.

Was yummy.
