Last night the good wife cooked a Lasagne using a pork and beef combination with home process tomato sauce and home made fresh lasagne pasta. Of course she did have the great assistance of myself.

One photo shows the bake with the excess pasta dry on the rack.
Other photo is the bake fresh out of the oven.

Very nice indeed, we will freeze the rest to take with us on our trip. If they last that long cheers Robert

That looks good.

That reminds me I haven’t made my own pasta for a while now.

Love a good Lasagne.
The whole family will nominate lasagne if asked for a special meal.
With a good Shiraz and a salad, who could want for more.

Yours has a nice coloured top.
Also impressed that you make the pasta.

Robert, do you just use flour and egg for the pasta.  That is what I use when I do it.

Hi Derek and a pinch of salt Molly is the pasta master I am but the humble assistant. Cheers

Recipe is
4 cups of OO flour
4 Eggs
Pinch of salt.

We normally just do a half miix which is enough for us.

Thanks for that.  I don’t put in salt in as I always cook pasta in salty water.

I can see the benefit of the salt in lasagne though.

Bought our pasta roller from Aldi a while back.

00 is a very soft fine grain flour.  Can get it in Woolies. Gives the pasta a smooth softness.

Also used in good pizza bases

Derek correct there and you can find Australian OO flour as well. Molly make pizza a couple of times a month and always makes the base. Cheers
