Hi all,

Been a little while to get back to here, but I have trialled the refurbished Dutch oven and by chance the refurbished frying pans too.

I have a good fire pit area (photo below) where I was planning on roasting two chickens I butterflied, and do veggies in the Dutch oven.

So the veggies were fine in the oven, but I didn’t have enough heat to spit Roast the Moroccan spiced chickens, so I finished them off in the pans; all over coals.

Last night I did Gyro’s with butterflied lamb and chicken thighs, one on top of the other with a Lamb rub in between each piece; came out really well.

So next is Xmas day with a very large pork shoulder strapped to the spit and heaps of veggies in the Dutch oven…

Another good purpose for the fire pit after food...
