Went to grandparents day at school today on the northside of Brisbane. On the way home I spied the Weber Shop at Jindalee so decided to go in and have a look.
Fatal mistake because this is what I walked out with.
Maggie said, “If you get a new one it has to be red”. I said, “Why, I doubt you will be cooking on it and I like the new blue colour”. To which she said, “No, but I have to look at it”. She wins.

I bought the same attachments I have with the old one. The half solid plate and the convection plate.
Apart from the different shape, control knob on the front and the drip tray sliding out the front it is also bigger.
Using my old ones for size difference, there are three photos showing the difference in size of the grills, the half plate and the convection tray. While not significant I know that difference will certainly be a bonus.
Original had the folding side trays and on this one they clip on which will be handy when having to fold it up hot. Side tables also have hooks for hanging utensils.
It barely fits on the old table but will do.

Because I will be connecting it to my bayonet point on the motorhome I also bought the new flame out device to keep it legal. This needs either 12 or 240 volts to operate so will need to work on that. Most likely a 12 volt outlet will be the go.
Now to retire and sell my old one that is 11 years old. Folks in the Weber Shop were quite surprised when I told them how old it is.
Time to get cooking.
