The dehumidifier turned up on schedule with the Amarax Couriers surprisingly. Often takes three days to get from Toowoomba to here 43 klm away.  Grin

Tomorrow I shall work out the lay of all the cables and crank it up to see how it goes.

Cost me less than $200 so far.

I wanted to put a sleeve in the hole through the fridge wall to prevent any chafing or damage to the cables.

Found a piece of PVC pipe in the shed.  Cut a section out of it so I could squeeze it together and it fitted neatly.

To seal the gap I used a leftover piece of the garage door foam insulation.  Cut a plug to fit and it sealed it up.

That's it for today.  Off to a medical appointment in Ipswich.

I bought some stainless butchers hooks for hanging meats in the fridge.  Will also be handy for the Ugly Drum Smoker.

Cables and leads everywhere.  Just plugged it in and calibrated the controllers.

With the door not opened today this is what I am seeing.

Green is humidity.  As seen on bottom figure it is set at 80 percent and currently 81.3 percent.

Blue is temperature.  It is set on 12 degrees and currently 12.2 degrees.

I can live with that.

Thought I was colour blind. What are you making first and how is the air flow in the fridge? Cheers

Yep, I did that all back to front didn’t I.  Green is temperature and blue is humidity.   Grin Grin Grin Grin

With all of the craziness of Christmas, Weeks of Grand-parenting duty, losing our daughter yesterday who is moving with the family to Victor Harbour, just south of you I am exhausted so taking a break.  I am even struggling with daily cooking ideas.

When I get motivated again I want to put down some pretty basic salami and coppa.  Also want to create a cheddar and parmesan as they will take months to mature.  Soft cheeses that have little or no mature time will be ongoing.

For now though Maggie and I just need some us time.
